A method for filtering electronic mail addressed to a user, comprising the steps of: storing a user inclusion list including identification data for identifying e-mail desired by the user; receive an email (401): comparing data from said received email message with said identification data (403); after identifying a match between the data of the email and said identification data, marking said mail with a first display code (410); show in a first display format that email marked with the first display code to the user.
