Foam in bag packaging system and method for producing the same

Packaging system (30) to produce a foam cushion formed inside a bag on demand comprising: - a bag (31) formed of material flexible plastic film (32, 33) and defining therein a space closed (34) of a volume corresponding to the size of the foam cushion to be produced, said enclosed space being vented (39) to the outside of said bag to permit the gases to escape during the formation of foam mattress while preventing the foam escaping thereof; - A precursor foam package (40) placed at a predetermined location within said enclosed space (34) in said bag and being formed of a barrier material capable of maintaining the precursor component of the foam in a state substantially stable and unreacted said package including first and second compartments (50, 51) respectively containing the precursor components laespuma first and second (52, 53), a first frangible seal (49a) separating said first and second components and a second frangible seal (46a) between the package and the enclosed space (34) in said bag; said fragile joints (49a, 46a) being adapted to rupture when desired to form the foam mattress inside the bag to allow the precursor components (53, 53) to react and produce foam which expands into said enclosed space (34) in said bag until said enclosed space is substantially filled with foam and said cushion is formed, characterized in that said fragile joints (49a, 46a) have a peel strength of at least 0, 09 kg per cm (about 0 5 pounds per inch) and less than about 2, 14 kg per cm (about 12 pounds per inch) and said first frangible seal (49a) has a resistance less peeling the peel strength of said second frangible seal (46a) , whereby said precursors first and second components (52, 53) are mixed when said first frangible seal is broken to react and produce foam which break said second fragile board and will expand from said package within said enclosed space (34) in the bag.
