Tamper resistant composite lids for food containers

A member composite closure (10) for a container having an opening with a formation of peripheral lip, comprising: a portion of outer cylindrical ring (14) having an upper peripheral margin (14A) and a lower peripheral margin ( 14B); a portion of inner cylindrical ring (16) having an upper peripheral margin (16A) and a lower peripheral margin (16B) extending vertically below the lower peripheral margin (14B) of the portion of outer cylindrical ring, such that the upper peripheral margin (16A) of said portion of inner cylindrical ring is integrally joined to said portion of outer cylindrical ring (14) by a formation surrounding or annulus (18), and said portion of inner cylindrical ring ( 16) it is circumscribed or encompassed in a weakening line susceptible to break (16D), located vertically below the lower peripheral margin (14B) of said outer cylindrical ring portion; hanging the lower peripheral margin (16B) of said portion of inner cylindrical ring a plurality of resiliently deformable teeth (16C), in a direction upward and inward to mate with lock against the lip of the container when the closure member it is in place; and a cover panel (20), formed from a generally flexible sheet material, which forms a seal with said peripherally formation annulus.
