Method for producing an elastic composite film with textile surface, wherein at least one strip of material from a fibrous web withdrawn from a roll is dilated irreversibly transversely to the feed direction, in which the growth of the width of the web material generated transverse extension is transformed into pleats by a tensile stress acting in the direction of advance of the material web, and in which the fibrous web under tensile stress and modified by transverse extension is applied on a film web of a thermoplastic elastomer, which is elastic in transverse direction and is welded or glued contact points spaced transversely the direction of advance of the bands.
