Electric machine forming motor or generator comprising a fixed part and a movable part, in which one of the fixed and movable parts (4, 12, 8, 9, 34, 36, 41, 42; 50, 56, 58; 98, 99, 100) is passive and comprises two parts (8, 9; 41, 42; 53, 54; 98, 99) defining therebetween a regular interval (12; 40; 60; 101), said joined pieces being including by means of a connection piece (3; 43; 52; 100) and the other of said fixed and movable parts comprising an armature winding (13; 36; 58; 102) polyphase generating a variable magnetic field, and as a winding central inductor (14; 38; 62; 114) powered by a direct current, said windings armature and inductor arranged in an air gap defined by the regular interval (12; 40; 60; 101) being, defining the two parts (8, 9; 41, 42; 53, 54; 98, 99) a regular interval and being the connection piece (3; 43; 52; 100) of ferromagnetic material, all the ferromagnetic parts of the machine located on that being of the fixed and movable parts comprising the two parts (8, 9; 41, 42; 53, 54; 98, 99) defining said regular interval, and at least one of said piece of ferromagnetic material (8, 9; 41, 42; 53, 54; 98, 99) defining said regular interval is provided with openings (10a; 41b, 42b; 41c, 42c; 53b, 54b; 53c, 54c; 100a).
