Antennas for use in portable communications devices

(57) The antenna arrangement used with a summary portable communication apparatus is described. The antenna (50) is equipped with four magnetic monopole elements (52*58) with which regular surface-like arrangement was equipped at equal intervals outside inside real cylinder structure (60) in one case of the operation. The cylinder (60) had a high dielectric constant and is prolonged from the conductive grand side (62). 1 or 2 or more can be in an operating state with a switching element (64*70 and 76), and the magnetic monopole element (52*58) can change both others so that it may work as the parasitic wave director and an antenna reflector which it changed into grounding or an open circuit state, and was substantially made transparent. The shielded single monopole antenna (10) is also described.
