New process for the production of biologically active protein

The present invention relates to a process for the production of a dimeric, biologically active? -type-translational growth factor (TGF-?) -like protein or salt thereof. The process is characterized in that its (TGF-?) -like protein-monomeric monomeric form is treated with a non-detergent-free buffer to form a spatial structure comprising an organic solvent, such as dimethyl sulfoxide or dimethylformamide or a mixture thereof, at a concentration of about 50% (v / v), with a detergent and a pH of from about 7 to about 10.
