In the Austrian Patent No. 162314 is a replacement tray for washing, distilling and rectification columns u. Like., Which is overflowed by the liquid radially against the column jacket, which is derived in a conventional manner by arranged below the bottom pipes to the center of the next lower lying soil.

In additional patent no. 173680 a further embodiment of this soil is described. After this, the bottom surface is dissolved in a corresponding number of, stepped in the direction of movement of the liquid, annular spaces. The liquid flowing over the individual soil enters at the center of the soil and runs over the edge of the first annulus to the second, from its edge to the third compartment, etc., and finally over the bottom edge to the next lower soil. In this way, the total pressure drop occurring in the flowing liquid from the center of the bottom to its outer edge is reduced to the much smaller residual remaining in the single annular chamber.

In order to eliminate this last remnant of pressure drop and to achieve a uniform over the entire surface geometric depth and thus steam distribution at any load even the largest floors, according to the invention the overflow edge (overflow weir) of the individual annular spaces provided with a same passage cross section for all. This can be z. B. done in such a way that each of the overflow weirs of the soil in question receives an equal number of slots or indentations, the distance from each other then against the bottom edge is correspondingly larger. Seen in elevation, the single passage may be given any suitable profile, such as a rectangle, a triangle, a rectangle with a triangular or rounded tip or the like. In the additional patent no. 173680 inter alia described arrangement of this overflow weir as a U-shaped bent, downwardly open ring these liquid passages are then pressed into the upper surface of this ring, or welded as profiles.

In the accompanying drawings, the subject of the invention is shown. Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the distillation bottom, Fig. 2-5 different arrangements of the passage opening according to the invention.

The built-in the column jacket a floor b with bells c, d and staircase 55 against each other graduated liquid sections b_lsb₂ .... carries on the outer edge of each of these latter a web e, which is inventively extended beyond the liquid level upwards. According to Fig. 2 and 3, it is provided with 60 slots e 'for the flow of the liquid. If the edges of the individual annuli έ_ΐ5 έ₂ .... are covered by ring-shaped cooking bells k according to Patent No. 173680, these latter recesses k! for the drainage of the liquid according to FIGS. 4 and 5.

It goes without saying that these passages in the individual overflow weirs of a floor after arrangement and shape can be formed differently from each other, without thereby 70 the essence of the invention is changed. Instead of using open-topped passages, such as of triangular cross-section, these passages can be arranged as openings in a web surrounding the individual annular space of the floor. Its upper edge is then expediently extended beyond the liquid level to the top, so that the ring simultaneously acts as a spray ring.
