Abstract

Modified chitins and chitosin having repeating units of formula I wherein R represents -NH.sub.2.n., -NHCOCH.sub.3 .On Rc, wherein Rc is residue present in at least 30% of the repeat units and R represents at least 90% of the formula II. Thanks to its biological properties of these materials are useful in medical and cosmetic applications, especially as a means to cover surgical and trauma ran.ŕ
