The method of preparing emulsion vehicle for poorly soluble drugs

An emulsion for incorporation of one or more tocols, a co-solvent and, stabilized by means of biocompatible surfactants, as a vehicle or carrier for therapeutic drugs, is described that is substantially free of ethanol and that can be administered to humans or animals by in the middle of several routes. PEGylated Vitamin E is also included in the emulsion. PEGylated alpha-tocopherol includes polyethylene glycol subunits linked by a succinic acid diester in the vitamin E-front hydroxyl and serves as a primary surfactant, stabilizer, and second solvent in tocol-containing emulsions.
